Since Ben Tate played the entire second half, I heard something somewhere to the effect that Ward tweaked his ankle. Can anyone substantiate this?

Yep, he rolled it towards the end of the first half. Saw some quotes where he said he could have played in the second if needed, but he wasn't needed. We were already up 34-0, so the staff wanted to let Tate get some work. Slaton got a handful of touches as a result too.

Can't see it being a biggy, based on what he said, but we shall see.

This is good that we are getting depth and experience at the position. Besides, Ward had a concussion against the Jets so I don't want him to take too many hits in the early going.

Slaton got a handful of touches as a result too. and looked pretty good, too.

Well, it looks like this staff has finally addressed two areas they've neglected for years - RB and S!! It's nice to have some depth at RB and a couple decent S. About time! As for Ward, #2 is Tate's gig to lose from here on.
