Back in the mid-60s, UT had a star linebacker named Tommy Nobis. Back in the days of signing wars between the NFL and AFL, Nobis was the top draft pick of the expansion Atlanta Falcons and the Houston Oilers. While the Gemini spacecraft was orbiting the earth and the crew was talking to Mission Control, was winding down, an astronaut was asked "anything else?" and he replied "Tell the Oilers to sign Tommy Nobis".
