This should be nothing but 2's, 3's and 4's tonight. Last chance for some of these guys to make a statement. I'll be looking for a few players to separate themselves from the pack to earn a coveted roster spot.
Sounds like DanO will go at least 3 quarters. It might get a little sloppy at times but it should be an entertaining game....

I want to see J.D. Booty get some snaps tonight and Jeremiah Johnson. Is Adibi going to play tonight? I want to see plenty of Troy Nolan and Shelley Smith. I would like to see James Casey have some passes thrown his way. Dorin Dickerson too should catch some passes along with Garrett Graham. I believe Tim Jamison should get a majority of snaps to prove he can pass-rush and defend the run. Has anybody seen Antwaun Molden this preseason? Nicholas Polk is one of my favorites that I want to make the team. I've heard great things about Malcolm Sheppard during camp, I'd like to see something for myself. Maybe Jesse Nading can make a play. That's all :)

Has anybody seen Antwaun Molden this preseason?Not that I disagree with the cutting of Bennett, but I'm surprised this stiff (Molden) outlasted him. Sure Bennett was a player in rapid decline, but at least he was a warm body.

I'm not even sure I'll watch. I can't think of a player whose performance is in this game is critical to me. Maybe if they give OD some work but I'm guessing he'll stay fastened to the bench.

Earl Mitchell got a sack, so that's nice. Malcolm Shepperd, DelJuan Robinson, and Frank Okam aren't showing me much. Happily surprised by Adibi showing some 'toughness' yet, still saw him whiff on a couple of tackles. While I wasn't enthusiastic about drafting Sharpton, he looks like he can play. Casey looks good and Graham had a nice catch. I"m choosing J. Johnson over Chris Henry [yet, JJ sprained his toe :( ]. Corcoran plays a position we don't 'need' but I'd be fine with putting him on the practice squad.
Who is Spencer Tillman? The more he talks the dumber he sounds. Connor Barwin was 'drawn offsides' by an Illegal Procedure penalty by the RT and Tillman continues to complain about how Barwin needs to 'hold his water.'
I want Booty!!!! Orlovsky going to give me an ulcer.
Dickerson on the bubble screens is on thing, but I want to see him go downfield.
Can't wait to sift through the waiver wire to see which veteran RB's are going to be waived. Laurence Maroney was talked about today on NFL Network. I would be happy if the Pats waived BenJarvis Green-Ellis. Oh, and while I'm at it, perhaps a DT that can hold the line of scrimmage, shed a block, and make a tackle. That'd be nice.

How many times does Kubiak have to be wrong about DanO before he finally figures out he was wrong about him in the first place ? After a night like last night one realizes all over again that Matt Schaubs backup and not Andre Johnson is the the second MVP on this team.
Caseys got the best hands of all the TEs, except maybe Fine who's going to be cut. But Casey really did look good, he must be a terrible blocker otherwise he's starting ahead of Dreessen who he's faster and quicker than, a better route runner, with superior ball-catching skills.
Dunno how bad Jerimiahs toe/foot injury is but I'm thinkin he's not ready for the season opener ? PUP maybe ? Sounds like an injury similar to Slatons ?
Adibi looked good at times but inconsistant, but I think he starts vs Indy. Mitch real impressive. And I'm thinkin they keep Rackers ?

I have exactly the same feeling about DanO as I had before the preseason started. I think he has all the tools to be a starting NFL quarterback, but he doesn't seem to have it between the ears. Those two picks were unbelievably bad decisions on his part. I think he has a problem in common with a lot of QBs with really strong arms--he thinks if he makes a good throw he can complete a pass to a receiver who isn't really open.
The O-line protected him very well all night, yet he still threw several passes to guys who weren't really open. He just seems to have a lot of trouble going through his progressions.
Concerning Reeves, he still hasn't learned to locate the ball. I would cut him.
The Texans would be crazy to put Dickerson on the practice squad.
Barwin is in his second year and he was playing against second teamers. He should have been dominating them but he wasn't. I'm starting to wonder whether he was a wasted pick.

I would try to find a way to keep 5 TE's on the roster. Daniels, Dreesen, Casey, Graham, and Fine. Keeping Dickerson is essentially 6 TE's. They can play Special Teams and be matchup problems for 3 TE sets. Vonta is the only FB and if he gets hurt, one of these guys can play the H-Back and run block. I just don't know if the Texans get that creative. We are going to have 5 WRs, right?
Happy to hear Rackers won the job. Hoping to hear the same kind of news about Booty, I'd cut Orlovsky. Not interested in Derek Ward, but waiting anxiously to see the waiver wire.
I thought there was 3 guys that were "showcased" quite a bit last night:
Casey: Accounted himself well and showed he's got the knack for making plays. He really needs more reps - real game reps. Targeted 11 times and made 8 catches. The Texans have a "problem" with all the people that should be getting touches.
Dickerson: Targeted 16 times (!) and made 5 catches. A lot of those missed passes were the QB's fault. His performance hit on both ends of the scale. Raw, very raw and inexperienced - just needs more "incubation"...
Graham: This guy is good. Good hands. Not one of my favorite picks in the draft but he's showing he's a baller. Targeted 7 times with 4 catches. Led the team with 16.5 yds/catch.
