According to the story OD is cleared to practice next week. Of course he wont play in the preseason finale...but he will be ready for the opener.

I am truly excited. I just hope he is back to form. We have found that Dreesen is not any kind of solution. He is a filler.

Quick Question, If Casey was supposed to be the next saving grace why has he not shown it in the preseason. 3 catches 34 yards all preseason.

Was it because he did not have enough PT or PT at the position. I am truly looking for a reason as to why we truly drafted him. Is he a project? I would imagine with our depth at TE, preseason would be his time to shine. Especially if so much of what we do on offense is based on the TE position. What has been the hold up.

Maybe he's saving it for the Cowgirls I hope.

Nice to have him back. Just guessing but they may work him in slowly with Dreesen, Casey, etc in a rotation....

I'm OK with Dreesen - I think he's a fine backup. But OD is a pro-bowler.... Dreesen should be able to resume long snapper duties now...

'We were shocked'
When Daniels finally sought a diagnosis in May, a stress fracture in the kneecap was discovered.
"We think it started with something really small and gradually progressed," he said. "I was still rehabbing hard and running routes and everything like that. We're glad we found it when we did. It could have been much worse."
Was he scared?
"Absolutely," he said. "We were blindsided by it. We were expecting to see a little inflammation. We were shocked. It was a type of thing Dr. (James) Andrews hadn't seen hardly ever. Dr. (Walter) Lowe hadn't seen it."
Daniels flew around the country, and of the "eight or nine" doctors he saw, five of them recommended surgery to implant screws to speed up and secure the healing. But a second surgery might mean missing the 2010 season — or worse.

Who knew OD suffered this complication and resulting delay of about 2 months ? According to the story it could have been much worse - missing the 2010 season or even possibly career-ending ? Given all of this we've got to know there's probably still great uncertainty about his recovery to previous form.

^^^ I know what you mean. But they said he was 100% healthy so Im hoping that is the case.

I wonder if the Texans knew he was having some issues before the draft, and that is why they snagged Graham as some extra insurance. Puts that pick in more perspective.

I'm glad that OD has checked out clean. But I'm wondering why nobody addressed Casey question. Why hasn't he had more PT during pre-season? Are we planning on springing him on Indianapolis, or something?:D
